Sofapaka midfielder: We have best squad in KPL

Sofapaka
Sofapaka midfielder Musa Mudde feels that the club has the best squad in the Kenyan Premier League.

The 2009 KPL champions have been literally left behind in the transfer news circles, with Gor Mahia, Tusker FC and to an extent AFC Leopards hogging the limelight.

Sofapaka though, despite not being directly in the news have made their own waves, especially in defence after completing the captures of James Situma and Eugene Asike.

Mudde, despite the quiet nature of business at the club says that they still possess the best team in the country and will be in the running for the title come season's end.

Big losses

-We have lost some very good players from the last season (Dodo Kayombo, Tumba Kilonzo, Patrick Kagogo et al), but we have also brought in a number of players.

-The good thing is that we had a good squad from last season, which was better than those of the other clubs.

-After adding the new players, we are even stronger and I feel that we will easily compete for the title when the season starts.

-Sofapaka is a big club and everyone expects us to be at the top, Mudde told Futaa.com.

Sofapaka have had a change in coaching staff, with Salim Ali taking over fro Francis Kimanzi as the club's new head coach.
