Sofapaka forward out for season remainder

John Onami

Sofapaka forward John Onami will not feature for the team again this season after the leg injury he suffered in the team’s friendly match against FISA FC on Wednesday 26 September.

The former Mathare United man fractured his right foot and has been out of action since. He is expected to start light training in one week but admits he will not be ready for top flight action any time soon.

Light workouts

-I just removed the cast on Thursday after the fracture; I can walk steadily now and the doctor says I can start light workouts after one week. The current season is, however, drawing to a close and I don’t think I can be ready for action any soon, he told futaa.com.

-I will do my best to heal then wait and see what destiny has for me in the coming season. I believe I will be back bigger and stronger.
