Sofapaka FC Team Manager Jacques Roberto feels his side were unlucky to lose 1-0 to AFC Leopards SC in the second leg encounter of the Kenyan Premier League, on Wednesday 27 June, at Nyayo National Stadium.
Allan Wanga scored the important goal of the match in the 38th minute to help Leopards end a five-game winless streak and revenge their first leg 2-1 defeat.
Wake up call
Clearly displeased after the loss, Roberto said that to reclaim the title they won in 2009, Batoto Ba Mungu can't afford to lose again.
-The boys played very well; we were just unlucky, Roberto told futaa.com.
-AFC capitalized on their chance, we tried our best to come back but failed to get an equalizer.
-The league is become tougher and we cannot afford to lose the next matches, he added.
Sofapaka are ranked second on the table standings with 32 points, same as leaders Tusker FC but separated by goal difference and they will be hosting Muhoroni Youth FC on Friday 6 June.
