Snubbed Rangers set Mahakama date

Lawrence Webo, Jaffer Gichuki

Kenyan Premier League side Rangers FC will be seeking to end their pre-season on a high when they encounter Division One side Mahakama FC on Thursday 9 February 2012 at the City Stadium.

The club Coach Ezekiel Akwana is pleased with the friendly saying that it will leave them better mentally prepared for the games ahead in the KPL.

Perfect ending

-We want to end the pre-season on a high that is why we decided to settle for Mahakama after AllStars proved elusive to us.

This will be their last friendly match of the current pre-season as they prepare to kick off the next season on Sunday against newly promoted Oserian at Nyayo.

Rangers were scheduled to play Nakuru based AllStars but the match was cancelled after the latter booked another date with KCB.

The match will kick off at 1600Hrs.
