Kenyan Premier League side Mathare United were handed a third successive defeat in the hands of hosts Oserian FC at Naivasha on Saturday 3 March 2012 going down 2-1.

The match registered electric pace within the first half with the hosts clearly the better side for the better of it.

Mathare United were however the first to score with Lloyd Wahome drilling in a classic header from a Khadudu corner kick.

Oserian however staged a strong comeback showing great flashes of brilliance and lots of confidence. Their efforts were rewarded with a penalty which Frankline Osama perfectly converted to level matters.

The second half was equally explosive with both teams showing intent to score their second and seal the game.

Both teams however had to wait till the 58th minute when Oserian captain and former Gor Mahia player John Kio drilled in a shot from outside the area to push Oserian a step ahead.

Oserian then shut out the Mathare forwards ensuring that they did not get chances to excecute shots. The game characterized by slight showers ended in favor of the hosts.

This was Oserian’s first win this season with Mathare yet to get a point from their three matches.
