2009 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions FC Sofapaka’s captain James Situma has the all clear to make his second debut for the team after issues concerning his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) were cleared by the club.
The defender had experienced some complications concerning the ITC after making the switch from the Albanian league back to Kenya and earlier on had said he left it to the his club’s management to handle the issue.
All settled
In a fine turn of events, the club’s president Elly Kalekwa has revealed to futaa.com that everything has been settled with the KPL and the international defender is ready to grace the Kenyan league once again.
-The issue of Situma’s ITC is long forgotten, we settled everything concerning it with the KPL and I can assure he will play in the KPL this season. All is fine with him and it is up to the coach to pick him or not to in the team’s first game against Karuturi on Sunday, he said.
Troubled stint
Situma returned to Sofapaka in January after a troubled short stint in Albania with FK Tirana whom he had joined in July with the hope of furthering his career. He was immediately reinstated as Sofapaka captain on return.
