Simiyu: It's up to the players

Ocholla-Amwayi
Ulinzi Stars coach Sammy Simiyu says that it is up to the club's players to lift the gloom surrounding them.

The 2010 Kenyan Premier League champions have had a poor start to the season, where they have won only twice in eight games.

Added to that, they have already effected a coaching change, with Benjamin Nyangweso paving way for Simiyu.

Simiyu, witnessed first hand the work that has to be done at the club, after he lost his first game incharge, 2-0 at home to Tusker FC and he beleives it is up to the players to improve.

Have to improve

-Things are getting back to shape and the players are themselves feeling that its time to get back to winning ways.

-I want them to get the best out of the season and it is a challenge I am giving them. They know that Ulinzi is a team that should not be losing matches easily and it is now their turn to restore the pride of the team, he told the club's official website.

Ulinzi are currently placed eleventh in the league with eight points.

They will get the chance to improve their record when they play Chemelil Sugar, Saturday 7 April 2012.
