With four matches remaining before the end of the 2012 Tusker Premier League season, Ulinzi Stars Coach Sammy Simiyu still believes a top three finish in the league remains a realistic aim.
The Soldiers have posted mixed results in the second leg of the season with last weekend’s 0-1 defeat to Mathare United denting their title hopes.
Bounce back
But according to the former Kenyan international, his side looks to an instant response to their latest reverse.
-Our focus currently is to finish among the Top three whether that means we win the title or not, we are fighting to be among the top three finishers, Simiyu was quoted by the club’s official website.
-We have started training well and we are psyched up. We have put the Mathare loss behind us and focus is now on the remaining four matches. We are looking for 12 points and I trust the boys can deliver that.
On the table
Ulinzi ascheduled to meet AFC Leopards in their next league match, on Saturday 20 October, but the tie has been rearranged as Ingwe will be participating in the FKF Cup semifinals.
The former TPL Champions are currently ranked fourth on the log with 43 points, five adrift of third placed Leopards.
