Simba win Tanzanian Community Shield

Vodacom Premier League Champions Simba SC beat Azam FC 3-2 to win the Tanzanian Community Shield Cup on Tuesday 11 September 2012 at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Goals


John Bocco and Kipre Cheche put Azam in front, but goals from Dan Akufo, Ugandan Emma Okwi and Moshi Kazimoto completed a memorable comeback for Simba SC.

Kenyan International defender Pascal Ochieng started at the heart of defense for Simba SC but was substituted for Juma Nyoso in the 64th minute.
Former AFC Leopards midfielder Salim Kinje, who joined the team during the June transfer window, was not included in the squad.

The 14-team Vodacom Premier League will kick off on Saturday 15 September with seven matches lined up across various stadia.
