Shimonyo expects tough game against Gor

Western Stima/shimonyo

Western Stima midfielder Fredrick Shimonyo says he expects his side to face a tough match against Gor Mahia in the FKF President’s Cup pre-quarter final, on Saturday 1 September, at City Stadium.

The two teams will be meeting for the third time this season, in less than two months.

Third meeting

In their first leg encounter of the Tusker Premier League, Stima forced Gor to a barren draw in Nairobi but suffered a 1-2 defeat in the return leg, at Mumias Sports Complex.

-The situation for both teams is difficult. This is a knock-out and we expect a very hard match, but our target is to score early goals, said Shimonyo to futaa.com.

-Even though Gor beat us at home in June, it was not that way easy-they struggled. We are coming from a defeat and they truly know what we're capable of doing when it comes to such a crucial match, added the midfielder.
