Azam FC scored all the goals in first half trouncing Villa Squad 4-1 on Wednesday 15 February, at Chamazi Stadium, narrowing the gap on the Tanzanian League leaders Simba SC and Yanga FC.
Azam has now collected 35 points from 18 matches, two points adrift of Simba and Yanga, which have 37 points, with Simba at the summit courtesy of goals superiority.

Nsa Job netted the opener on the 21st minute, for the visitors before Salum Abubakary leveled the scores five minutes later.
Kenyan international defender Ibrahim Shikanda made an assist for the second goal in the 28th minute, finished perfectly by Abdi Kassim.
Two minutes to the break, Khamis Mcha added his name on the score-sheet before Kipre Tchetche capitalized on the defensive error to seal Azam’s much needed victory in the 47th minute.

Villa are still rooted at the twelfth position with 16 points from 18 matches, three ahead of the bottom placed Polisi Dodoma.
Azam will be traveling on Wednesday 22 February in a pulsating battle against title contenders Yanga FC in their next match.
