Shikanda confident of victory against Villa

Ibrahim Shikanda

Azam FC skipper Ibrahim Shikanda is optimistic his troops will bounce back against Villa Squad FC on Wednesday 15 February, after their 2-0 loss to Simba SC last Saturday, in the Tanzanian Premier League.

The former Tusker FC defender, who’s been bestowed with the captain’s armband, rules out the unavailability of suspended John Boko and Aggrey Morris will deter them from recovering.

winning ways

-It’s a tough league, each team is fighting hard either to win the title or escape relegation but we’re up for the task, Shikanda told futaa.com.

-Though two of our key players will miss the mid-week’s clash, we’re ready to represent them; we’ve a great squad that I believe will deliver, inisisted  the Kenyan international.

Azam are currently third on the log with 32 points, five behind leaders Simba and Yanga FC who’re separated on goals difference.
