Stars French coach Henri Michel named a 28 man strong Stars squad to start camp next week, as they prepare for the year's remaining assignments.
There were certain surprises in the squad named, as some players who were in the past deemed surplus to requirements have been named in the squad, but according to Birgen, they are the best that could have been chosen.
Best players
- I am happy with the selection of the Stars squad by the head coach.
- According to me, it is the best that we could choose, considering that they play for the best clubs and have performed very well so far this season.
- I have faith in the players chosen, so what remains is for us to join camp and start working hard, he told Futaa.com.
Three day camp
The Stars will join camp on Monday 24 September 2012 and leave on Thursday 27 September.
