Scholars sees off TPL side

Tusker Premier League side Nairobi City Stars suffered a 0-1 defeat to University of Nairobi’s Wazito FC, in an exhibition match played, on Saturday 13 October, at Hope Centre-Kawangware.

The scholars grabbed the winner on the hour mark through Maxwel Odera after good combination between Jeff Tikolo and David Grosso.

Impressed

Speaking to futaa.com after the encounter, Wazito skipper Dennis Wafula was full of praise for his teammates.

-It was a great game and I am proud of my colleagues. We played well and we truly deserved the win, he said.

Beefing up

The defender further revealed that they have strengthened their squad ahead of the forthcoming KUSA and EUSA games.

-We have selected players to reinforce the students’ team for the national and regional games. I am confident we will register positive results in the both competitions, he added.
