Scholars eye league after regional tourney

KUSA Games
University side Kenyatta University [KU] has expressed determination to get it right in the league despite their semifinal exit from the regional university games earlier this month.

According to their coach Vince Ombiji, the team made him proud for standing against other strong teams in the tournament though they missed the final by a whisker.

Missed experience

-The team was very impressive in the tournament considering that I was without some of my most experienced players from the Tusker Premier League but the boys looked equally good.

Kenyatta University was dumped out from the tournament by Uganda's Makerere University before again losing to another Uganda side Ndejje University in the playoffs stage.

Ombiji has revealed that the team currently has strong players that will push them through the remaining fixtures in the league and ensure they finish top.

The team prides in various talents in the first tier among them Paul Mungai [Gor Mahia], Victor Ashinga [City Stars] and Bernard Mang'oli [AFC Leopards]
