Immediate former Sofapaka Coach Salim Ali holds no ill feelings towards the 2009 Kenyan Premier League champions after he was dismissed for allegedly poor results.

Ali, who replaced Francis Kimanzi six months ago, was sacked on Tuesday 21 August.

Not bitter

-I enjoyed every minute of my time at Sofapaka and I have no regrets at all. It’s the decision of the club’s president and I cannot do anything about it, Ali told futaa.com.

-It has been a good learning experience and I proved my worthiness by winning 11 matches out of 21; that’s an indication that I am a good coach.

-In a coaching career you expect anything. It’s a world-wide policy, we are hired to be fired. As far as I am concerned it’s a good break for me and I am ready for any offer that will come onto my way.

-I wish Sofapaka all the best in their endeavors.

Offers

Asked if he regrets for turning down the Enyimba offer before his appointment at Batoto Ba Mungu, the former Mathare United Coach said that he cannot live in the past.

-That’s the past and as a qualified coach I will always get offers, he said.
