Former Bafana Bafana skipper Neil Tovey believes that the team can capitalize on the home advantage to reclaim the AFCON title when South Africa hosts the event in early 2013.
Speaking to cafonline.com, Tovey who led the team to capturing the 1996 title at home insisted that they only need to start the tournament on a high.

He [Neil Tovey] admitted that the 3-0 thrashing of Cameroon in the opening match was a great booster to the side that went ahead to -beat Tunisia in the finals of the tournament.

South Africa will be at home to kick off the tournament at the Soccer City Stadium on 19th January 2013. Kenya’s Harambee Stars has already been kicked out after falling to Togo in the knock outs.
Bafana Bafana also beat Stars 2-1 in a friendly match played at the Nyayo Stadium a week ago.
