Arsenal captain Robin van Persie has reportedly been spotted
house-hunting in Cheshire, an indication that he could be headed for the
Manchester sides.
Van Persie is currently out of contract and reluctant to sign a new deal at the Emirates Stadium which is likely to spark a £25million battle to secure his service this season.
Trailed
The 28-year old has been linked with a number of European clubs with Serie A with Serie A champions Juventus trailing along the likes of AC Milan, Barcelona, and Real Madrid.
According to Daily Mail, Arsenal hope Van Persie performs a Wayne Rooney-style U-turn when he holds talks with manager Arsene Wenger next week.
House-hunting
But as close sources reveal, RVP was seen in the exclusive village of Hale before jetting off on holiday, indicating that a move to Manchester is in the vicinity.
United are still keen on bring in one or two more signings this season after the recent arrivals of Japan ace Shinja Kagawa and England Under-18 midfielder Nick Powell’s arrival, while rivals City are speculated to launch a bid for the Dutch international after agreeing a fee with Tottenham for Emmanuel Adebayor.
Arsenal is hinted to have offered Van Persie a three-year deal worth £130,000 per week, while City are likely to pay him £225,000 a week to move to the Etihad Stadium.
