international football was handed a reality as the team fell 5-0 to host
Ethiopia in a friendly played in Addis Ababa on Saturday 29 September 2012.

A team of 18 players left the country in the wee of Thursday 27 September for the game after training for a week out in Mombasa.
The result has been confirmed to futaa.com by Football Kenya Federation’s Media department.
The tie had initially been planned for Sunday 30 September but was brought forward by a day.
