Robert Mambo: Harambee Stars can go far

Robert Mambo

From 1600hrs on Saturday 2 June 2012, Kenya’s Harambee Stars will host Malawi’s Flames in a 2014 Group ‘J’ World Cup qualifier.

Won’t be an easy ride

From far off in Borlange, Sweden, former Harambee Stars skipper Robert Mambo Mumba sees the Harambee Stars going far in this campaign.

He is however aware that it won’t be an easy ride past in the upcoming game.

- It is going to be a very tough match because Malawi are on a good run at the moment. But I believe we can pull off a good result, he said to futaa.com

Only going to be possible with hard work

- But we have a very good squad at the moment and they are capable of going so far, added the Dalkurd FF player in the Swedish third tier

- But it is only going to be possible with hard work and teamwork. All said, we are fully behind the team, he concluded while dropping his prediction of a one goal margin; either 1-0, or 2-1 to the Stars.

After the Malawi tie, Harambee stars will take on Namibia (away) in the next game.
