Rangers’ defender passes his gratitude

Tom Onyango

Rangers FC defender Tom Tass Onyango has passed his sincere appreciation for the support he was given to see that he recovers after being knocked unconscious in his team’s defeat to Ulinzi Stars in their Kenyan Premier League (KPL) encounter on Sunday 8 July.

Thankful to Ongeri

The defender had to be taken to hospital after a hard shot hit him in the head during the game at the Afraha Stadium and after regaining consciousness he spoke to futaa.com, thanking mostly his club’s chairman, team doctor and team manager for their help.

Though he is still experiencing headaches due to the impact, he says he is much better and will take time to rest before resuming action.

Thankful

-I am feeling much better now and I would just like to thank all those who assisted me in one way or another. Our chairman Mr. Ongeri has really assisted me, leaving all his business to see that I am well, and even the team doctor, team manager, my teammates, the media and all friends for the support, I am very thankful.

-I now realise the vulnerability of our situation as players; I am still having bouts of mild headaches but I know with the medication it will all go. I think I will have to take some time to rest, the chairman has also told me there is no need to rush back to action, he told futaa.com.

Rangers FC lost the game 3 – 1.
