With seven matches remaining in the 2012 Tusker Premier League, Rangers have a paltry 20 points from 23 matches played.
In that lot are KPL title contenders Gor Mahia and Sofapaka and to an extent Thika United, while the rest of the competition is closer to Rangers in terms of points.
The club's next two matches will be Thika United and Rangers away from home and head coach James Nandwa says that they are looking to win those games to give themselves a good cushion before the tough matches.
Beat close rivals
- We need to get as many points as we can from the games that really matter, which is against our rivals at the bottom.
- In our list we have City Stars, Oserian and Western Stima which are matches we should target three points.
- The other matches we will play as normal because we know that on our day, we are hard to beat, just like against AFC Leopards.
- However, the ones against our rivals are very important, he told Futaa.com.
Final day
Rangers will face bottom placed Oserian in Naivasha on the last day of the season.
