A foreign coach will be in charge of Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Rangers when the second leg kicks off.
Unveilling
Confirming this to futaa.com, Club Chairman Yobes Ongeri added that the coach will be unveiled just before their first match of the 2nd leg.
-I can confirm that we now have a foreign coach who will be in charge of the team in the 2nd leg. We will unveil him on Monday 25th June 2012 just before our match against Chemelil.
Ongeri however refused to reveal the identity of the coach citing fear that rival KPL clubs might snap him.
-I cannot say who the coach is at this moment. He will be known during the official unveiling. I don’t want a situation where another club snaps him up even before he leads us in one match.
Technical Bench
Jaffer Gichuki has been the acting-coach since Ezekiel Akwana was sacked following a string of poor performances by the team.
Ongeri is confident that the new coach will help the team get positive results in the second leg.
-With the addition of the coach, Rangers now has one of the best technical benches and I’m confident that we will perform better in the second leg.
