Rangers' Chair: Kinoru is out of our plans, for now

Lawrence Webo, Jaffer Gichuki

A delay in inspection of the Kinoru Stadium [in Meru] has prompted Rangers FC to settle on Nyayo Stadium for their opening home match against Oserian to be played on Saturday 12 February.

no progress

According to the club’s chairman Yobes Ongeri, the inspection process has taken too long and it would be unnecessary for them to include the pitch in their plans as yet.

-The inspection has been overtaken by events and this has left us to go back to our fall-back plan, he told Futaa.com.

-As and when it happens, and if the outcome is positive, then we can consider continuing with plans to move to the Eastern Kenya town.

impressive

Rangers overcame all adversities to emerge seventh in the 2011 Kenyan Premier League season.
