Raila rally occasions change of match venue

Nakuru Allstars

An Orange Democratic Movement political rally set to be held on Sunday 10 June, to be addressed by the Prime Minister Raila Odinga at the Afraha Stadium, home of FKF Division One Zone B title contenders Nakuru AllStars, has occasioned a shift of the venue for the day’s game pitting the home side against Yanga.

Muthomi’s request

The match will thus be played at the Greenstead School, which is Nakuru AllStars’ alternative venue as per the confirmation by the Zone B fixtures secretary Evans Rono in reaction to Nakuru AllStars’ chief executive officer Robert Muthomi’s request.

- We have been informed today by the municipal council that the Prime Minister will be holding a rally at the stadium this Sunday therefore it will not be available. We are thus looking to move our match to our alternative pitch, Greenstead School, Muthomi had requested.

Pre match at Afraha

The wish was granted and the visiting team notified but the pre match engagements will still go ahead at the Afraha Stadium as per the prior arrangement at 1000hrs for the 1300 kickoff.

- We have confirmed that Afraha Stadium is booked on 10/6/2012 for the said function and therefore the match Nakuru Allstars vs Yanga shall be played at Greenstead school as alternative ground for the hosts at 1:00pm. The pre-match meeting will be done at Afraha at 10:00am.Kindly observe time, was Rono’s reply.
