Makolanders quest for a fifth season win in the FKF Girls Premier League was checked on Saturday 1 September 2012 when the team was forced to share the spoils by visiting Thika Queens.

The tie played at the Jericho Lower grounds from 1000hrs saw the host Makolanders take the lead in the ninth minutes through the team’s lead striker Claire Wanga.

The lead was well defended to the break till seven minutes after the hour mark when Thika Queens regular goal getter Dorcas Shikobe drew the visitor’s level.

The score line remained as is, at 1-1 to the very end.

Makolanders remain ninth in the 12-team log with 15 points as fifth placed Thika Queens improves to 33 points. Both have played 20 games.
