Point off Mahakama enough for Jagero

Mathare Youth, Oserian

FKF Division One Zone A side Mahakama FC, with a new technical bench after the recent upheaval, could just manage a point off 18th placed Mathare Youth side as they settled for a 1 – 1 draw in their Saturday 14 July encounter.

Satisfied

The Mathare Youth coach Joseph Jagero was a satisfied man after the shared spoils, lauding his team’s spirit as well as admitting his boys did well against a very strong side.

-Considering it was a very strong opposition, my boys did well. Their confidence in the game was high after we played some tough Nigerians on Wednesday. Getting a point from the experienced Mahakama side is a good result, he told futaa.com.

Akwana’s first game

The result left the former Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side with 17 points from 22 matches while Mahakama, under former internatioanal Ezekiel Akwana, went fourth with 35 points after 21 matches.
