Despite Tusker’s 0-1 loss to Gor Mahia in the Top Eight first leg semi-final match, on Thursday 2 August, Peter Pinches Opiyo had something to smile about as he was named the man of the match.
Good show
The experienced and hard-fighting midfielder gave the opposing opponents a run for their money in the midfield even after they were numerically disadvantaged, following the dismissal of lone striker Dennis Mukaisi.
-I am happy for the way we played even after conceding an early penalty and a red-card, said Opiyo after the match.
For being the MVP, Opiyo was handed a Walka – a DVB-H digital TV player that allows a user to watch television on the go.
