A fortnight ago, reports came out to indicate that Tanzanian Premier League Champions Simba SC had released Kenyan defender Pascal Ochieng, and even found his replacement, in the person of Joseph Owino, from Azam.

Without a clear confirmation of his release, the player visited the offices of the Tanzanian Football Federation on Thursday 20 December demanding to know whether indeed Simba had let him go.

Information

According to Tanzanian site Millardayo, Ochieng had received informal communication from a Simba official regarding his release.

-Before I left Tanzania after the end of the first leg, I spoke to a Simba official and he told me that I had been released. I spoke to him again, when I got to Kenya, and asked him for the release letter, Ochieng told Millardayo.

-It has been a while since I asked for the letter and as long as I have not received it, I consider myself a Simba player.

Resolution

It is yet to be known how the discussions with TFF went because the player has been unreachable on phone.
