Pamzo: clinical finishers is what we don’t have

Omollo

At the close of a Tusker Premier League (TPL) clash between Gor Mahia and Oserian FC on Wednesday 29 August 2012, the coach of the latter Sammy Pamzo Omollo just had to admit that is a national problem when it comes to scoring.

Achilles tendon

His team Oserian ran Gor Mahia close but it is kogalo who emerged 1-0 winners thanks to a Rama Salim tap in on 29th minute after Oserian’s keeper George Ochieng Ogola spilled a cross.

Oserian opened up Gor Mahia’s backline time and again but what has been the team’s Achilles tendon all season – failure to convert saw most of those chances go to waste.

We don’t have

-That’s a problem in Kenyan football that we have. Clinical finishers is what we don’t have, he said in a post match interview with TPL broadcast right holders Super Sport International

Converting aside, Pamzo rues the chance that gifted Gor with the lone goal that earned them all three points

16th

-Gor Mahia is a big team. We gave a good account of ourselves. It was just a small blunder from the keeper otherwise we gave a good account of ourselves,

-It was just a small blunder from the keeper. Otherwise we had a superb game and this is how we should go, he added

Oserian are placed 16th in the TPL.
