Outgrowers requested time off to bury patron

The Division One [Western Zone] match between Agrochemicals and Outgrowers, initially scheduled for play on Saturday 29 September was postponed in order to allow the club’s Chairman Richard Wandekere, burry his fallen father.

Outgrowers’ head Coach Joseph Wandera informed Futaa.com, that the burial is set for Saturday 29, the day initially left out for the match, noting that the late Wandekere Snr. was the club’s patron and main sponsor, and as such it would have been disrespectful for them to go on with the match on his burial day.

-We requested the federation to reschedule the match, to allow us pay our last respect for our patron.

The match will be given a new date.
