Otieno recovers from injury

Omino

Western Stima’s centre half David Otieno expects to return to the side to face Karuturi Sports on Sunday 19 August, after recovering from a knee injury.

Confirming the news to futaa.com, Coach Henry Omino said that the former Sony Sugar defender, who missed their barren draw against Oserian last weekend, is fully fit for the Bukhungu tie.

-I am happy Otieno is back in the team, and he is definitely in my plans for Sunday match, he said.

Fitness test

However, the duo of Ben Roberts Mandela and Fredrick Nyarombo will face a late fitness test to determine their availability for the match.

-Nyarombo resumed training on Tuesday while Mandela started yesterday. We have to gauge their fitness test before make a final decision, explained Omino.

Stima are placed seventh on the log with 27 points.
