Kenyan International midfielder Patrick Armando Osiako is set to sign a two-year contract with Israeli top-tier side Hapoel Be’er Sheva FC.
This after he impressed the team’s officials during their pre-season training in Pozna, Poland where he played in all the three build up matches the team had lined up.
Impressive
The player’s German agent, Andrea Hoffman, confirmed this to futaa.com, adding that they will travel to Israel on Saturday 11 August 2012 to put pen to paper.
-The Hapoel coach was very impressed with Osiako. We have already agreed on the financial details and hope to arrive in Israel on Sunday morning to sign the contract, Hoffman said.
His contract with Romanian Liga 1 side FC Petrolul Ploiesti ended on 30 June 2012 and the club wanted to retain the player for two more years, but the talks collapsed after the club made a turnaround regarding the payment structure that was agreed upon when the player joined the side in March 2012 from Swedish side Mjalby AIF.
The player has also expressed his pleasure saying that it will present him with the opportunity to play in a top league.
Excitement
-I’m very happy to be joining Hapoel. I enjoyed myself during the pre-season and I know I will enjoy myself too in Israel, Osiako told futaa.com.
-The opportunity to ply my trade in such a good league excites me. I can’t wait for my debut, he added.
The Israeli league, Ligat Ha’Al, is set to kick off at the end of this month (August).
