After the 2-2 home Nationwide Division One draw against Nakuru AllStars, Oserian Coach Sammy Otinga called his meeting aside for what he describes as a ‘psyche-up’ meeting.
-The meeting had no particular agenda and I was just using the opportunity to encourage the team not to give up yet, Otinga told Futaa.com.
-We had gone into the Saturday 5 November match hoping to win, and it was unfortunate that we made mistakes that eventually proved costly in the long-run.
-The match was evenly balanced, but we had some clear chances, which we should have used to our advantage but we squandered them.
The team is currently ranked sixth in the league standings with only three points keeping them away from the league promotion bracket.
Otinga says they need to win their remaining home match, against Real Kisumu, and hopeful replicate the result in their away matches, to Opera and Strathmore if only to ensure that they advance into the top tier of Kenyan football.
