With the women’s Division One league [Western Zone] on a break, third-placed Oserian Ladies FC are confident that they will earn a promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Speaking to futaa.com, the club’s Team Manager Treviah Kahiga said that they are appreciative of the support they have received from the parent company and promised to keep impressing.
-We are lucky to have the kind of support we have from the Oserian Development Company and this has been one of the contributing factors to our current success, said Kahiga.
Challenges
Kahiga also went to point out double-signed players in opponent teams as one of the challenges they have had to deal with and hopes the Football Kenya Federation will address the issue.
-We know of teams with players who are signed to premier league sides. For instance, we recently saw players from Kisii United and Western Commando, playing for a Division One team.
-We have already lodged an appeal with the FKF and we hope that they [FKF] will respond with speed to help quell this kind of unfairness.
Standings
Oserian, with ten points are three points behind leaders Kakamega Muslim and two behind Victoria Ladies.
