Town humiliated their weekend opponents Gateshead to a 5-1 loss in their
Coference National league match played on Saturday October 15 2011 at the Kenilworth
Road Stadium (Luton, Bedfordshire).

The teams took full advantage of the home atmosphere to get the better of Gateshead in a rather one sided match with four goals scored in the second half of the thrilling match.
Welsh international defender Jake Howells and 27 year old defender Jamie Hand each scored a double for Luton town while Aaron O'Connor scored the fifth in the 70th minute to seal the win for the home side. Gateshead goal was scored by Jon Shaw in the 77th minute.

Luton Town is now third on the standings with 30 points same as Gateshead but the latter are in fifth due to a difference in goals.
The teams are five points behind league leaders Wrexham with the weekend win being very instrumental in the Luton Town campaigns as they seek to secure the top spot.
Kenyan international defender Curtis Osano played the entire 90 minutes of the match having curved his place in a team he only joined this season.
