Orundu recovery progressing well

Sony Sugar midfielder James Orundu recovery is making headway, according to Head coach Zedekiah Zico Otieno.

The former JMJ Academy, AFC Leopards, Sofapaka and Rangers midfielder joined the 11th – placed side on a two-year contract from Rangers.

The highly-rated player underwent surgery to remove his inflamed appendix a few months back and is still on the recovery path.

-Orundu will be ready in two weeks. He is okay now but has to work out more to be fully fit. He was training on his own initially but is now training with the rest of his team mates. He is a very good player and I’m sure he will help the team a lot, Zico told futaa.com.

Sony take on ninth-placed Karuturi on Sunday 15 July 2012 in a game scheduled to kick-off at 1500 hours at the Karuturi Stadium.
