Omino still in shock

Henry Omino
Western Stima coach Henry Omino is still in shock after watching his side's capitulation in their Kenyan Premier League meeting with Sofapaka over the weekend.

Stima arrived at the City stadium in Nairobi on Saturday 10 September 2011 with high hopes of posting a result against the 2009 KPL champions, but an inspired display from the men in blue saw them through to a 5-0 victory.

Omino, though does not see it that way, and speaking to Futaa.com, he expressed his anguish at the result.

-It was a bad result, very bad. I still cannot believe what happened on that day. It has shocked me.

-My players were clearly to blame. There was no spirit, no fight and the mistakes were too many. It was very bad and there will be no repeat of what we saw, he cried.

Back to drawing board

The big nature of the loss seemed to spur Omino into action.

- We just have to go back to the drawing board and take stock of what transpired in our match. At this level we cannot concede so many goals. We have to work on it, he added.

Stima will have their chance at retribution, when they host City stars on 17 September 2011.
