Western Stima Coach Henry Omino took the Tusker Premier League (TPL) by storm when he led his team to thump AFC Leopards 2-1 and Sofapaka 1-2 in succession and he says he is eyeing another big scalp at Thika United on Sunday 21 October.
No worries
Omino admits Thika United at their backyard are a very tough side to play against but has faith in his players and believes that with all his players available for selection, he has nothing to worry about when heading to the industrial town.
His team suffered a shock defeat at home to KCB in the last round of matches and Omino says the Thika game will present a perfect chance for a comeback.
Tough outing
-I know Thika United is a very dangerous side when they play in front of their
fans. Their fan base is not as chequered as ours and I am not expecting an easy
outing there.
-However, we are preparing well for the game and all my players are available I just hope nothing happens to them in between. If I manage to take an injury free side there, I believe we will get the win. I trust my players that much.
Bounce back
-The players are also itching for action since they want to bounce back after the demoralising loss at home and I know they will do it – the confidence is also at the right levels, Omino told futaa.com.
Six points separate the two sides; Omino’s team is at position seven with 36 points, six behind the fifth placed Thika United after 26 matches in the season.
