Kenneth Omeruo

Omeruo heading back to Chelsea

Nigerian youngster Kenneth Omeruo could be heading back to Chelsea at the end of the season as the London club does not want an extension to his loan deal with Dutch club ADO Den Haag.

Omeruo’s impressive form is highlighted by his inclusion in Nigeria’s 23-man squad to the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa despite only making his full debut in the friendly clash with Catalonia on January 2 and it is very likely he could be playing at Stamford Bridge next season.

Kenneth is 95% close to join Chelsea, his agent was reported to have stated.

Chelsea and Den Haag are billed to have a meeting in this regard and one of the player’s representatives says it is very likely that Omeruo will be playing in West London next season where he will be joining his fellow Nigeria internationals John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses.

Omeruo's eye-catching performances this season also helped him gets a call up for Nigeria's U20 team ahead of the 2013 African Youth Championship in Algeria.
