French Ligue 2 side AJ Auxerre failed to maintain the winning spirit into the second weekend running after going down 1-2 against their Friday 5th October opponents Le Havre away at the Stade Océane (Le Havre).
The visitors however opened the scoring in the 38th minute courtesy of Cameroonian forward Ntep de Madiba but the hosts equalized in the added minutes of the first half through Frenchman Riad Nouri to head into the break tied at one all.
Mountain to climb
The second half however proved a thorn in the flesh after the hosts staged a strong comeback to snatch the entire three points from their mouths through Riyad Mahrez in the 58th minute.
This was a fall after their Monday's win at Alres where Dennis Oliech supplied another great assist to snatch the three points from their ligue opponents who are breathing down their necks on the standings.
Auxerre is now placed 10th on the standings with 13 points from their 10 matches so far.
