Oliech, new pair in for Auxerre for struggler’s game

On Sunday 5 February 2012, Kenyan striker Dennis Oliech will be in Auxerre’s lineup for an away French Ligue 1 tie with two new strangers.

In the lineup for the Caen game are two recently acquired players; winger Olivier Kapo and defender George Mandjeck who were roped in to boost the team in the remaining matches of the season.

Auxerre’s Coach Laurent Fournier is on a three game losing streak and the combination of the two with his key striker Oliech who top scores for the club with eight goals could see him save his job.

Ahead of the game, Auxerre is in relegation spot 18 in the 20-team log but sits just a position and point below Caen.

The game that will see two struggling teams seek to win to move upward in the log will be played at the Stade Michel d’Ornano in Caen. The game kicks off at 1900hrs.
