Oliech fails to inspire Auxerre

.
Dennis Oliech was an uninspiring figure for AJ Auxerre as they were held to a barren draw at home to Istres in French Ligue 2 action on Friday 14 September 2012.

At the start of play, the Burgundy outfit were placed ninth in the league standings and five points off the pace, but at the final whistle, they were booed off by their own fans after a poor display.

However, with the league leaders also dropping points, it was a bit of a relief for a club looking to get back to the top flight next season.

75 minutes

Oliech played 75 minutes of the game, but he looked just as uninspired as most of his teammates were on the night.

Being a home game, they will need to avoid such scenes again, as they plot a return to the grand stage of French football.

They stay ninth with ten points, five points off the pace, but with their next match being away from the comforts of the Stade Abbe Deschamps, there could be more dropped points on the horizon.
