Olaba: Tanzania beats Kenya fair and square

Tom Olaba

Former Harambee Stars’ head coach Tom Olaba has denied that The Tusker Premier League is more competitive than Tanzania’s Vodacom League.

Speaking to futaa.com, the coach said that the league still needed to grow before reaching the level that Tanzania has reached now.

Little if any comparison

-Tanzanian football is way above Kenya’s in almost every aspect that I can think of including competitiveness and talent.

-Their talents are nurtured since an early age hence most talent is very sharp and developed by the time it gets to the competitive level.

Coaching stint

-This is why their teams perform better at the continental stage than their Kenyan counterparts, explained Olaba.

Olaba just returned from an international coaching stint with Mtibwa Sugar. He has also coached Zanzibar side Ocean View.
