Mathare United registered their first win in five matches after beating 2010 Kenyan Premier League Champions 1-0 at the Afraha Stadium on Saturday 29 September 2012.
Happy
Mathare United Head Coach Stanley Okumbi expressed his joy after the game saying the team played to instructions.
-I’m very happy with the result. I had studied Ulinzi and I knew their strength was in using aerial balls. But I’m glad my players followed instructions, Okumbi said after the match.
The team is now ninth in the 16-team Tusker Premier League with 32 points from 26 matches and will face second bottom team Oserian FC on Saturday 20 October 2012 in its next game.
Top 8
-We want to finish among the top eight teams and therefore target winning all the remaining matches, Okumbi added.
