The Tusker Premier League (TPL) Chief Executive Officer Jack Oguda is waiting for reports from the referee and match commissioner for the Western Stima – AFC Leopards clash before any steps can be taken over the ugly scenes that marred the game on Saturday 15 September.
Running battles
Western Stima won the encounter 2 – 1 courtesy of Wesley Kemboi’s brace before Mike Baraza got a consolation for Ingwe but the Leopards fans afterwards blocked the team’s exit in demand of an explanation for the loss which resulted into running battles with the police at the venue.
Oguda, speaking to futaa.com, said they are yet to receive official communication over the game and the aftermath so he wasn’t in a position to give a comment on anything.
Waiting for report
-We are still waiting for the report from the game’s referee and match commissioner. Until then I can’t comment on the matter or what step will be taken, he said.
Four fans were arrested in the melee that also saw the area OCS, who was heading the security team, stoned unconscious.
Thomas Onyango was the referee in the encounter and Joseph Mbose the match commissioner.
