Odipo leads Poly to win at Magongo

Mombasa Polytechnic's regular goal scorer Nicodemus Odipo scored a goal and set up another one as his side mauled Magongo United 0-2 in a Zone B match of the South Coast Provincial League match played at Refinery ground on Saturday 29 September 2012.

Lightening exchange

Odipo opened the score sheet in the 14th minute for the victors, his goal 19 of the season.

Wycliff Obiero sealed the victory in the 35th minute after a lightening exchange with Odipo.

-We lost numerous scoring chances. We would have won the match by a bigger margin. Magongo were simply lucky to concede only two goals’ said Polytechnic coach Joseph Yeboa Sihuli

Labored

Mombasa Polytechnic remain at the pinnacle of the table with 42 points, ten more than second placed Nacet from Ukunda.

In other zone B matches played on Saturday,  Nacet from Ukunda consolidated their second position on the log after they squeezed a labored 1-0 win over visiting Coast Stima at Mzimuni ground.

Floringi United humbled Dream Team 2-1 at Tononoka ground.
