The 2009 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Sofapaka did not just leave the Thika Municipal Stadium with four goals and three points on Saturday 28 July as they returned to winning ways after a winless three matches.

Walka winner

The team’s Kenyan international goalkeeper Duncan Ochieng was named the best player in the match against Thika United after pulling a series of fine saves on his return to the side after missing the Mathare United game which ended in a 2 – 0 loss.

For his performance, the former Tusker and Mathare United goalkeeper walked away with a DSTV Walka, the first time he has won it this season.

John Baraza scored a brace in the game and Bob Mugalia and Edgar Ochieng got their first goals of the season.
