Nzoia; the rain saved Shabana

Gusii Stadium

On Saturday 13 October 2012, Nzoia United picked up a rare fete; a 1-2 win over Shabana at their Gusii stadium back yard.

Very good outfit

According to Nzoia United’s head Coach Evans Kadenge, his team played a purposeful game and should have won by a bigger margin had the surface not have been soggy from a heavy downpour

-We had a good outing. Shabana is a very good outfit but we mastered the game early and took full control of it.

Spoilt the flow

-The officiating was quite good – there was nothing to complain about but I believe that we should have won by a much bigger margin had the surface been dry.

-The field was quite wet which spoilt the flow of the ball but nonetheless we got a win, he concluded

Tally of 67

Nzoia United is still fifth in the 20-team Division One Zone B with an improved point’s tally of 67 from 32 games.

Shabana is 13th with 38 points from 30 games.
