Nyayo temporarily shut down from football

With the Safaricom Sevens rugby event set to take place on the weekend of 21-23 September, the Nyayo National Stadium has been closed from all football-related events.

This is as the sponsor of the rugby meet, Safaricom, set up the place for their event.

Event

The Safaricom Sevens, previously the Tusker Safari Sevens, is an annual event held in Kenya, and is known for drawing huge crowds over the course of the three days it traditionally takes place in.
